Further to the petition that local pharmacist Mak and I raised to Hampshire County Council back in November, in addition to the follow up emails to our local Councillor Roz Chadd, we have now had a response from Romsey based Councillor Nick Adams-King.
In short, Hampshire don’t want to take the action that our community has petitioned for, with Cllr Adams-King suggesting that other measures would have been “equally unpopular”. They have also tried passing the buck onto the local businesses, asking them to rectify the mistake that the council created!
I’ve written back to Cllr Adams-King, inviting him to come and see the bunds for himself, and to discuss a way forward.
Watch our video for more info! I’ve also posted Cllr Adams-King’s response in the comments section below.
Mak and I will continue to fight on this issue and I will continue to fight on other road safety issues within our community!
